Greys River

I rambled south today to explore the Greys River. It's a beautiful area for sure. Balsam root was everywhere. I'll definitely be heading back down sometime this summer.

Sunrise

I got up early this morning and rambled up to Schwabacher's Landing in hopes of getting some nice sunrise shots. Unfortunately there was some cloud cover to the east that kept the sunrise from being very colorful. Though I didn't get the shots I had hoped, I did see a wolf while I was there shooting which is always a treat.

Random

Here are a couple of random pictures from the past few days. This first one is of the wildflowers among the sagebrush at Antelope Flats. It was taken on Saturday, so I think the snow last week probably damaged the balsam root (yellow flowers).



This is of a Red-naped Sapsucker that has been visiting a birch tree in the yard.

Spring In Yellowstone

Well it definitely was not spring-like this weekend. I rambled on up earlier today to find snow and temperatures hovering around freezing. I did not see much in the way of wildlife, but the weather made for some interesting shots.
