Yellowstone

In Yellowstone there is only one road open to cars during the winter. It is in the northern part of the park, going from Mammoth Hot Springs to Cooke City. This past weekend I made the circuitous drive up to the park from Jackson. Although the only wolves I saw were quite a distance away, it was still a great weekend.

The above image is of the Lamar Valley on Sunday’s cold (-12°) morning.

These two images are of Mammoth Hot Springs well after sunset. The one below is a 5+ minute exposure lit mainly by the moon.
