Gros Ventre River
Today I did a little snowshoeing and explored a new section of the Gros Ventre River. Photography wasn’t my only reason for doing so. I was also hoping to find some good fishing spots; you can be sure I’ll be heading back come summer..

Bighorns
Along with the elk and bison that winter on the National Elk Refuge, there is also a herd of bighorn sheep that use the refuge as their wintering grounds.The sheep generally stick close to Miller Butte, which fortunately parallels the refuge road. Sheep atop Miller Butte. Ram, ewe, and lamb.
