Baldie
I rambled up to Teton Park this afternoon hoping to find some animals to photograph. I saw lots of moose, elk, and bison, though the only pictures I took were of a bald eagle perched in a cottonwood with the Grand Teton in the background.
Grizzly Tracks and an Eagle
Recently there have been sightings of a grizzly bear in the Oxbow Bend area of Teton Park. I rambled north hoping to see it today, though I only saw tracks from yesterday. Below is an image of a bald eagle taking flight. It seems that nothing can escape being tagged (notice the leg bands.)

Owl
Another great gray owl image. This one taken this evening.
Another Owl

Great Gray Owl Flight
I thought I’d share a couple more images from yesterday. Look at those legs! For some reason I find those feathery little things amusing. Beautiful animals.

More Owls
Yesterday I knew of three great gray owls within a small area in the valley; today it seems there are two more. This afternoon I watched one for well over two hours, but it hardly moved in that time. Just a little further down the road there was another great gray, this one very active [...]
Great Gray Owl
Jackson Hole is at the southern edge of the great gray owl’s range, so it’s always great seeing them in the valley. Perched on a cottonwood branch. Taking flight with a just caught vole in its beak.
