Oregon Coast
I spent the last week in Oregon visiting with some great friends. We spent the majority of time in Portland, though we did take a couple days to ramble down the coast. Forest along a trail in Oswald West State Park. Beach at Oswald West. Wildflowers grow atop the cliffs at Cape Lookout.
Jenny Lake
Spring may finally be here. Warmer temperatures and precipitation in the form of rain, not snow, seem to be the norm these days. Though, there is still several feet of snow in much of Teton Park. This weekend’s constant rain turned the snow and ice on Jenny Lake to a great aqua color.
Cottonwoods

Gros Ventre
I did a little snowshoeing today along the Gros Ventre River. Below are a couple images I took along the way.
Teton Sunrise
Sunrise was pretty sublime this morning, especially with the new snow and the fog over the river. I took this image as I made my way north to fish in Yellowstone. Left to right: Grand Teton, Mt. Owen, and Teewinot
Firehole
Below are some images I took today while fishing the Firehole River in Yellowstone.
Leigh Lake
One of my favorite, easy hikes in Grand Teton National Park is the gentle ramble to Leigh Lake. With a hometown friend visiting for the weekend, I thought this would be a good way to spend Saturday morning. The view of Mount Moran rising from the western shore of the lake is pretty incredible.
