I envisioned a full, red moon setting behind the peaks of the Tetons. Unfortunately I was not up in the park early enough to do so. I thought 45 minutes before the official moonset would be enough time to get some images, but I underestimated how much earlier 13,000′ peaks cause the moon to set. According to a friend I was only a few minutes too late. I guess I’ll have to try again in 2014.

I saw lots of moose, elk, and bison, though the only pictures I took were of a bald eagle perched in a cottonwood with the Grand Teton in the background.
